A Moment of Happiness
A moment of happiness,
you and I sitting on the verandah,
apparently two, but one in soul, you and I.
We feel the flowing water of life here,
you and I, with the garden's beauty
and the birds singing.
The stars will be watching us,
and we will show them
what it is to be a thin crescent moon.
You and I unselfed, will be together,
indifferent to idle speculation, you and I.
The parrots of heaven will be cracking sugar
as we laugh together, you and I.
In one form upon this earth,
and in another form in a timeless sweet land.

Those lines describe how the writer and his darling stay together. They spend the time as beautiful as the situation together. They are so happy and  looks everything is joyful. Because of love, they stay together and get a moment of happiness. The nature seems to be very great and exciting for them, absolutely due to love. Behind the Scene
Is it your face
that adorns the garden?
Is it your fragrance
that intoxicates this garden?
Is it your spirit
that has made this brook
a river of wine?
Hundreds have looked for you
and died searching
in this garden
where you hide behind the scenes.
But this pain is not for those
who come as lovers.
You are easy to find here.
You are in the breeze
and in this river of wine.

Love is a magic ray
emitted from the burning core

b. The last analysis of poem from the forms is through sense devices.
Metaphor
The word “Love is a magic ray” is called as metaphor since it implies the comparison between “love” and “a magic ray”. It shows that Khalil Gibran is a great poet; the power of the words he used shows how he is rich of diction. The use of word “a magic” to describe love shows that Khalil Gibran totally believe love is like the supernatural power (magic). The second word is “ray”. Do you know why Khalil Gibran uses “ray” to describe love it is because “ray” has great ability from the very tiny to be bigger and stronger light.

Love One Another
Love one another, but make not a bond of love.
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup, but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread, but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone.
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of life can contain your hearts.
And stand together, yet not too near together.
For the pillars of the temple stand apart.
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.

  Respect
Love one another, but make not a bond of love.
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.

Even though we love each other, but we should not force our will to others. The words “not a bond of love” clearly states about respect. We should respect one another. The great Gibran describes that love one another means that giving a chance one another to do anything. We may love somebody, but they still have privacy and freedom to do something.

Personification
For only the hand of life can contain your hearts.
And stand together, yet not too near together.
For the pillars of the temple stand apart.
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.
Those are the example of the use of personification. This is how Gibran creatively uses figurative languages as the right way to make the poem sound beautiful. “The hand of life” does not mean that life has hands but the people who have love on their hearts. “The pillars of the temple stand apart” is used to describe that we may stay away but we should still support one another. The oak tree and the cypress” do not grow in the shadow but it means that they grow not support each other.

Song of the Rain
I am dotted silver threads dropped from heaven
By the gods. Nature then takes me, to adorn
Her fields and valleys.

I am beautiful pearls, plucked from the
Crown of Ishtar by the daughter of Dawn
To embellish the gardens.

When I cry the hills laugh;
When I humble myself the flowers rejoice;
When I bow, all things are elated.

The field and the cloud are lovers
And between them I am a messenger of mercy.
I quench the thirst of one;
I cure the ailment of the other.

The voice of thunder declares my arrival;
The rainbow announces my departure.
I am like earthly life, which begins at
The feet of the mad elements and ends
Under the upraised wings of death.

I emerge from the heard of the sea
Soar with the breeze. When I see a field in
Need, I descend and embrace the flowers and
The trees in a million little ways.
I touch gently at the windows with my
Soft fingers, and my announcement is a
Welcome song. All can hear, but only
The sensitive can understand.

The heat in the air gives birth to me,
But in turn I kill it,
As woman overcomes man with
The strength she takes from him.

I am the sigh of the sea;
The laughter of the field;
The tears of heaven.

So with love -
Sighs from the deep sea of affection;
Laughter from the colorful field of the spirit;
Tears from the endless heaven of memories.

a. Khalil Gibran explains illustration from the entire stanza in the poem since the poem uses analogy”. “I” here means as Khalil Gibran in which his view point is as the Rain. It illustrates how the rain is really important for other creature.

Gibran describe the contrast by this word “The heat in the air gives birth to me, But in turn I kill it,” It means that there are mutualism symbiosis where the heat of air give advantage for the creation of the rain but then the rain will make the heat of air cool down.
Furthermore, the repetition occurs on the use of “I” as the first person who Gibran take a part as the rain.
